Educational Summer Camps
For over 30 years riders have been making summer memories at our summer camps. This very popular educational program consists of one-week camps that meet Monday through Thursday or Friday. Many riders enroll for more than one week!
Camps are organized for skill levels from the very youngest 5-7 year olds (Pony Camp), thru Advanced. There are also special Competition Camps offered each summer for those riders who wish to be on the developing competition team.
All camps are taught by certified instructors on well trained school horses. Along with the riding lessons, riders also study safety around horses, grooming, care of tack, veterinary care, nutrition and more!
We have five camps we offer each summer.
Please review the camp levels and feel free to email us for a consultation about which level will work best for you/your rider. Younger riders for Pony Camp meet Monday - Thursday and all other campers meet Monday - Friday.
Level I: Pony Camp
Open to 5-7 year olds with little or no riding experience. Campers will ride and learn horsemanship theory appropriate for their age. Teaching is done in a fun and playful atmosphere. These spots fill fast!
Level II: Beginner/Intermediate Camp
This camp is divided into two sections: first time riders and riders of limited experience. The camp includes arena and trail riding, horsemanship theory, riding games and lots of fun! The minimum age for this camp is 8 years.
Level III: Intermediate Camp
This level is for riders who have taken lessons for more than a year and are comfortable at walk, trot, canter, and over small fences. There is limited enrollment for this group so you will want to reserve your spot early.
Level IV: Advanced Competition Camp
This camp is open to riders comfortable jumping 2’6” with basic dressage skills. Students will explore cross-country jumping, intense theory and practicum on riding, nutrition, and basic vet skills. There is limited enrollment for this advanced group as well.
